“If one advances confidently in the direction of one’s dreams, and endeavors to live the life which one has imagined, one will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”

~ Henry David Thoreau

I’ve always been a dreamer.  I have a vision and passion to see this world filled with love and compassion, I was born to be an instrument of peace.  I know that it is why I am here.  I know my purpose is to help others find their dreams and live their lives full of passion.  I’m here to inspire and be love, I know it with all my heart, mind and soul.

We are all sparks of the Divine; each of us is here to re-present the Divine’s love in a way only we can.  We are unique, no one is exactly like us and can do things exactly as we can.  There is no need for competition or comparison.  We are all divine and perfect the way we are.  There are people out there who need what we came to give.

Henry David Thoreau said, “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.” So many people live small when they were meant to live such powerful fulfilling lives.

Somewhere inside of each of us a flame burns and when we are not fanning that flame and living lives of love and passion the soul aches with desperation, it needs to fulfill its mission.  When we don’t live our purpose something inside us dies.

“Do not lose hold of your dreams or aspirations. For if you do, you may still exist but you have ceased to live.”

~ Henry David Thoreau

Have you taken the time to ask yourself what am I here to contribute?  In the movie, The Dead Poet’s Society Robin Williams’ character shares the line, “The powerful play goes on — and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?”

What makes you light up?  What makes your soul sing?  When is the last time you just daydreamed about the possibilities of your life?

In the song, I Believe I Can Fly R. Kelly says if you believe it you can be it.  Nothing is impossible. We have spent too long listening to the naysayers who say what can’t be done.  What if you just went for it anyway?

“Only as high as I reach can I grow, only as far as I seek can I go, only as deep as I look can I see, only as much as I dream can I be.”

~ Karen Ravn

In order to discover new lands you have to be willing to lose sight of the shore; imagine if Christopher Columbus let fear of losing sight of the comfort zone of the shore stop him from discovering unknown worlds.

It takes taking a risk to have your biggest life.  You’re worth it.  What do you want your epithet to be?

I recently lost one of my dearest friends.  She was the most enlightened, loving, compassionate and gentle people I have ever met.  She was light and love.  It exuded out of every cell of her body.  You could not be in her presence and not feel her peace, gratefulness and love.

I don’t know about you but that is how I want to be remembered.

“This world is but a canvas to our imaginations.”

~ Henry David Thoreau

I was thinking about fear today and how it is a waste of imagination.  I see so many people settle or shrink back because they listen to fear.  Fear is just and acronym for False Expectations Appearing Real.

What if instead of using your imagination to think of all the things that can go wrong and make yourself terrified, you used your gift of imagination to dream, dream big?
