“People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway. If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.” ~ Mother Terresa
Each one of us is special and unique. The world may take issue with you recognizing your brilliance and standing in your magnificence but remember stars can only shine in the dark. So when you choose to live your life like the shining star you are remember that other people’s opinion of you is none of your business. What they think of you is a reflection of them, not you.
What you think of you is all that matters. So give yourself permission to be fabulous, because you are! You alone can determine the legacy you will leave. Go for it! Never miss an opportunity to be your authentic powerful self. You are an infinite being, live limitless. Shine your light in all the dark corners of the world and live in Technicolor!
It breaks my heart when I hear people say I am not going to do that good thing because others won’t appreciate it. It does not matter if your words of encouragement fall on deaf ears, share them anyway. Shine your light. It doesn’t matter if your acts of kindness are never noticed; if that is why you’re doing them you’ve missed the point.
We are divine love, the only time we are truly our authentic selves is when we are expressing or feeling love, everything else is ego. You came to this world to express love, be love and learn to love your own magnificence. So shine! Don’t worry about the responses of others. Don’t worry about being in the spot light, bring your own light and let it shine!
My Challenge: Do some random act of kindness today for someone and do it so they will never know. Remember your magnificence today and don’t forget to look in that mirror and say, “I love you”.
